2012 Vegetable Gardens
2012 was a very good year in the vegetable department.
The following pictures will give you an idea of what we had.The gardens were beautiful in spite of a very dry summer.
Carrots
Hot Peppers in front. Cherry Tomatoes on fence.
Multiple plantings of beans to extend the season.
Everyone's favorite, Bell & Sweet Peppers.
Cabbage. Also a good picture of the whole farm.
Kale & other cole crops.
Muskmelons. Lots of them this year, with great taste!
Slicer Cucumbers on the left, more cole crops.
Pickling Cucumbers & Kohlrabi.
Our full season Strawberries. Over 1000 pints picked by August 1st.
A favorite of many, Beets.
New this year, Sweet Potatoes.
